How to use the website

If you are having any difficulty using our site please read this page first - it may well answer your query.

This website is increasingly used by the Company to share information with those who have a general interest in us as well as with our members. It should be the first port of call for all Company-related activities including downloading useful resources such as our calendar of events, freedom and livery application forms, and event booking forms.

For all our members, we recommend you start in the 'Members' section and start exploring.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that your web browser stores on your computer; it can track your movements around a website.

Our website uses two different types of cookie:

  1. A temporary 'session cookie' which remembers that you've logged in. This is classed as strictly necessary to the operation of our site, so you can't opt out of it. You can disable it by changing your browser settings not to accept it, but this means that some parts of the site won't work, including the login process itself.
  2. An analytics cookie which measures how you use the website, without identifying you personally, so we can make sure it meets your needs.

The procedure for enabling cookies varies depending on the browser you're using and your operating system.

General information about our site

Our site is optimised to work with a wide range of recent web browsers. Some pages may not display properly in older browsers, but we have tried to minimise any such problems.

Members-only content

Some of our content is restricted to Coopers members, and many of our downloadable resources are restricted to specific groups of users, such as members of particular committees. You need to log in to make sure you get access to the full range of content that's available to you.

If you are a member using this website, we recommend that you occasionally make sure that your contact/account details are correct.
